Berthold Leibinger Innovation Prize for the Team of Prof. Christian Koos

For his work on the project DELPHI (3D-Laserlithograohy for integrated Photonic), the Team of Professor Christian Koos from the KIT receives this year’s Berthold Leibinger Innovation Prize with a prize money of 30.000 Euros.

Corning Outstanding Student Paper Competition: Grand Prize goes to Christoph Füllner

The OSA Foundation and Corning Inc. announced the winners of the annual Corning Outstanding Student Paper Competition at this year's Optical Fiber Communications Conference (OFC 2018).

Christoph Füllner won the Grand Prize in a fierce competition among around 220 PhD submissions and five finalists.

Best Paper Award TSP 2017

In July 2017 Shalina Percy Delicia Figuli, Peter Figuli and Jürgen Becker have been awarded the Best Paper Award of the 40th International Conference on Telecommunications and Signal Processing (TSP) in Barcelona, Spain, for their Paper "A Reconfigurable High-speed Spiral FIR Filter Architecture".

Frequency Combs

HIRST PhD candidates worked on a paper on Frequency combs. The results imply avenues to enable novel ultrahigh resolution spectroscopy and metrology applications from the terahertz to the x-ray region.
